Ballinlough/Granlahan Active Retirement Association was established in 2007 with the purpose of enabling retired or semi-retired men and women lead a full happy and healthy life .This is done by offering organised opportunities for participation,in a wide range of activities.
The group plans and delivers a range of social ,cultural ,educational,and physical activities based on what members like to do, and their ability to participate .

The Association is non-party political and non denominational.
Meetings are held on 2nd Tuesday of each month barring July and August,when we take our summer break and they alternate between Ballinlough and Granlahan

The Crochet /Knitting group is a sub group of Active Retirement and the meet ,sit ,crochet and knit every Wednesday at 3pm .
