Since March 2022 Ballinlough has welcomed over 60 Ukranians to The M Hotel, where many of them now call home. Language classes have been delivered to these refugees, from a terrible war raging in their own country, by the Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board. These classes have been ongoing in the Enterprise Kiltullagh Digital Hub since the arrival of the Ukranians. Many of them are children and attend the local Primary School and the Secondary Schools in the vicinity.
